I don’t know about you but I’m all about giving back! Whether that means spending my free time volunteering, donating some extra cash or supporting philanthropic companies. I made a list of my favorite beauty brands that give back. Their products are some of my all time favorite and I don’t feel guilty purchasing from them since I’m also supporting a great cause! So let’s get to it!
Their name says it all! I first discovered Thrive from one of my FabFitFun boxes and I’ve been hooked since! Their highlighter stick and mascara are topnotch. The CEO lost her friend to cancer which inspired her to create Thrive Causemetics and give back to cancer survivors. For every product purchased, Thrive donates to a woman in need. They donate to woman who has had cancer or been a victim of domestic violence. They also donate year round and host fundraising events and more.
Lancôme has worked with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for over a decade now and have raised over $3 million for the hospital. Lancôme has also provided “moments of happiness” to patients and families who are undergoing treatment for terminal illnesses. Their perfumes are all so yummy and I love their lipsticks too. Their lipsticks aren’t drying and have an amazing color payoff!
Every time a honey product gets sold, Farmacy donates $1 to City Growers for the development of their farming education work and their Bee Education program. Their Honey Potion mask is my favorite, it does wonders to my skin! IT hydrates my skin, smoothes it and gives it a healthy radiant glow!
Sol de Janeiro
I tried their products for the first time because of FabFitFun and fell in love! Sol de Janeiro is known for their Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, but all their products are seriously amazing! Their known for giving back to the Amazon! Last year, for the month of September, they donated 100% of the profits from their Amazon Is Our Heart set to the Rainforest Action Network. The Rainforest Action Network works to stop the destruction of the Amazon Rainforest.
Beautyblender is know for their beauty sponges of course! I had to get their color changing one and I love it, it doesn’t absorb all my makeup and blends like a dream! They also donate to the LGBTQ+ community. They launched an array of limited edition rainbow beautyblender sponges to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. For each sponge sold, they donated 10% of the proceeds to benefit The Human Rights Campaign, which is America’s largest civil rights organization that works to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer equality.
This it just a few companies that are doing an amazing job giving back! CSR is super important nowadays and companies are stepping now more than ever! There’s so many other amazing beauty brands that give back, what your some of your favorites?
It’s National Lipstick Day so I thought it would be fitting to go over some of my all time favorite lippies! I like my lipsticks with high color payoff that are long-lasting and hydrating. There’s nothing worst then a lipstick that leaves your lips looking and feeling dry or lipsticks that have you reapplying every hour!
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution
Okay Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are the literal B E S T and for so many reasons. They offer the pretties shade, it’s so hard finding the perfect nude/pink shades and they the best options for your everyday nude lip. Their lipsticks also have orchid & tree extracts that protect and soften your lips and keep them hydrated pouty all day. The pigments are uniquely formulated to help create the illusion of fuller lips. Last but not least the color lasts all day, the pay off is amazing and glides on like a dream. You can get them here for $34.
NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment
This is one of my favorite liquid lipsticks! The colors are gorgeous and super pigmented. These lipsticks last all day and they’re smudge-proof. I add a little on the outside of my lips like lipliner and it lasts all day without smudging! The consistency of the formula is also amazing- it’s not drying or sticky so you’ll be comfortable all day! You can buy them here for $26.
NYX Lip Lingerie Shimmer
I’ve had these liquid lipsticks for years, they offer the best nude shades and are super pigmented. They don’t last as long as the NARS lipsticks but still last a while and they’re only $7.50. The newer ones have shimmers added which I’ve never tried but the shimmers add adds dimension to your lips giving the illusion of voluminous lips. You can buy them here.
Buxom Full Force Plumping Lipstick
Buxom is a newer brand that I discovered last year- their lipsticks and mascaras are the bomb! This lipstick has full coverage and plumps your lips! The lipsticks have hyaluronic acid and conditioning oils that helps fill, smooth, and hydrate your lips! The texture is smooth and buttery and the color I have (Boss) is the perfect shade of pinky/nude lips! You can get it here for $19.
These are some of my favorite lippies! What are yours?! Share them in the comments belows! 🙂
Faux freckles are the thing right now, especially in the beauty industry and I’m a big fan of this trend! I think they look so sweet and really helps tie your look together. I love the appearance of skin-kissed skin and adding the freckles also helps distract from my blemishes! I’ve tried different technique to accomplish this look, some worked out terribly and some worked wonders! These are the methods and products that worked best for me!
This option is probably the most popular option there is right now. They were one of the first companies to come out with a freckle product and I think they did a great job being one of the first movers of this trend. They’re a little more on the pricey-er side but the quality is worth it for me since it lasts all day and doesn’t smudge. You just take the little brush and dab dots all over your face, I like to focus on my nose and checks. Then gently tap out the product with you finger tips so more subtle dots will appear giving a more natural look. The XL size is $32 and you can buy on their site here or on other sites like Revolve and Urban Outfitters.
2. Brow Products
Oh love this option because I don’t add freckles to my look all the time but when I do, I just grab my brow product and I’m good to go. I looove brow pens, I recommend Grossier’s brow pen “Brow Flick” because it lasts all day and is smudge-proof so the freckles won’t smear of your face. The color “brown” is perfect for freckles too and I use the same method as I do for the Freck option. Just dab the pen in desired area and tap out the product with my fingertips. You can buy their brown pen on their site here for $18.
Another great one is the Tony Moly 7 Days Tattoo Eyebrow Pen. I love this one too especially because it’s formulated to last 3-7 days without irritating your skin so you don’t have to reapply everyday. You can buy it from their website here for only $12.
Last but not least we have the henna tattoo freckle option! This one is fun if you plan to wear no make up or super light coverage makeup. If you’re used to wearing medium to full coverage foundation then the freckles won’t show too much or at all but it’ still a fun look for when you’re makeup free. I love this because when I’m makeup less I don’t feel completely naked and the freckles distract from my acne scars. The freckles last around 3-7 days as well. When buying henna make sure it’s all natural and chemical free. I buy mine from Henna Caravan and they even have a helpful article on how to use their products to achieve the freckled look here. I get their henna freckle kit infused with lavender essential oil and it’s only $12.50.
Those are my top three methods and products that worked wonders for me! Have you tried this trend yet? Are you a fan of it? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below! 🙂
I don’t know about you but I’m the worst at drinking water! I’ve tried the reminder bottle that is programed to remind users me to drink water but that didn’t work for me, I tried that bottle has has little time slots on the side to keep me hydrated all day long and that didn’t work for me either. What has worked for me though is infused water since it tastes so yummy, keeps me refreshed all day long and has added benefits to. I literally crave it so no reminder needed! It is said that infused water can also help with weigh loss, increase our metabolism, burns fat, improves energy, helps with cramps, promotes healthy skin and more! Here are some of my favorite infused water recipes!
Cucumber Lemon Lime
Love this one, it helps with hydration, weigh loss,,appetite control, digestion and improves skin quality.
Strawberry Lemon Mint
Rich in vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and potassium. Also helps increase your metabolism and controls your appetite.
Orange Lime Lemon
High in vitamin C and helps with immune defense, heartburn, digestion and prevents skin damage.
Helps boost immunity, loaded with nutrients, contains disease-fighting antioxidants, and increase your metabolism.
Rich in nutrients, improves heart health, contains amino acid which helps relieve muscle soreness and is great for both your skin and hair.
I love using my Nova water bottle for these infused water recipes. The bottle is super cute and the strainer prevents me from swallowing pulp (I’m personally not a big fan of pulp). To learn more about the Nova Water bottle read my previous article here. Are you a fan of infused water too? What’s your favorite infuse water recipe?! 🙂
Anyone else love Amazon as much as I do? You can buy almost anything and it arrives in a matter of days! Nowadays I do most of my shopping on Amazon to avoid being out in public and exposing myself. Lockdown has got be shopping more and more- oops! At least I’m helping the economy, right? 😉 Here are some of my all time FAVORITE Amazon beauty products!
T3 Interchangable Styling Wand, $270
I’ve had this styling wand for YEARS and it still does wonders and looks and works like it’s brand new! The set I purchased comes with three different heads and it’s so easy to switch out the heads. I love this because you can create so many different looks and you save a ton of storage space and it’s perfect for travel. It might seem expensive but you’re getting three different wands so I think it’s totally worth it! You can get the set here.
2-in-1 Metal Eye Cream Applicator & Massager, $9.28
Okay I love this product so much! It comes with two different facial massagers and the other ends are little spoons to easily pick your creams and lotions. You use one side to apply the product and the other side to massage it into your face. I love it cause it keeps your products sanitary and since it’s made of metal its cold and refreshing when you apply product and helps reduce puffiness and improves circulation. You can get them here.
Facial Steamer with Extractor Tools, $32.99
This facial steamer is so incredibly relaxing and helps minimize the look of my pores and controls my acne. I use it at least once a week and add a few drops of tea tree oil which helps with scars. After a few minutes of applying it directly to my face I use the extractor tools and put on a sheet mask. It comes with 4 tools and each tool is double-sided. You can buy this set here.
Portable Facial Nano Mist Sprayer, $12.99
I already mentioned this product, but if you missed it, check it out here. This portable mister helps moisturize and refresh your skin! It produces a fine cool mist in seconds and it’s so fine that it doesn’t ruin your makeup. It’s super refreshing, I love that it has the function to cool the water because this helps with fatigue and wakes up you! I don’t think you’re supposed to add essential oils to it but I do anyways for more benefits and so far it’s still working fine! You can buy the mister here.
Permanent Hair Removal with Facial Cleansing Brush, $479.95
Okay I know what you’re thinking.. $479.95 is a lot of money but this product is totally worth it. I got my hair professionally laser hair removed and it cost me thousands of dollars. I ordered this to maintain the hairs and it does the same job as professional laser hair removal for a fraction of the cost plus it comes with an electric facial cleansing brush- it’s similar to a Clarisonic that usually costs around a hundred bucks so you definitely get your moneys worth. You’ll also save a ton of money on razors and a ton of time too since you never (or rarely) have to shave again!
UV LED Gel Nail Lamp, $36.99
Getting your nails done is fun and all but it gets expensive and time consuming over time and nail salons are closed right now anyways (where I live anyway). I learned how to do gel nails myself and love this lamp! It’s pretty easy, all you do is apply the gel polish and other nail products and put your fingers in the lamp for a few seconds and boom you have durable, salon gel nails! This has saved me a lot on time and money over the years. I actually ordered this lamp in 2018 and it still works like new. You can buy it here.
5 Peice Nail Design Brushes, $15.89
I also bought these brushes in 2018 and they’re still like new. I use these brushes to apply gel polish and name designs but have also used the finer tips for my makeup. I’ve washed these brushes a lot and they haven’t rusted or faded at all since waterproof! The brushes will las your years since they also don’t shed. They also come with a cap making it sanitary and travel friendly. You can buy them here.
Electric Nail File 5-in-1 Professional Manicure Pedicure Kit with Stand, $22.98
This little kit does it all! The cordless electric nail file comes with 5 different attachments to remove cuticles, smooth corns, calluses, will, buff, polish and shine fingernails and toenails. No to mention that you can flip the stand around and it turns into a portable UV light! It’s perfect for traveling! I’ve also had this since 2018 and haven’t had any problems with it and still haven’t had to replace the batteries! You can buy it here.
These are my favorite beauty products that I can’t live without! What are yours? Have you tried any of the ones I listed or plan to try them? Share your thoughts below!
It’s summertime, the weathers super hot and now more than ever my hair starts too look greasy fast which is not a good look! Luckily there are lots of ways to manage your hair and control it from looking greasy too quickly. Here are my favorites:
1. Put Your Hair Up
If you know you’re going to be out and about in the heat, put your hair up in a pony, half pony, messy bun, etc. This avoids your hair from touching your sweaty/oil face and will prevent it from looking greasy quickly.
2. Avoid Touching Your Hair
I have the habit for constantly twirling and touching my hair, moving my hair out of my face, etc. I’ve learned over time that this makes my hair look greasy since my hair absorbs the oils from my fingers. I now try to touch my hair less frequently and already noticed a difference!
3. Wash Your Hair Less
This might sound odd but washing it less often will train your hair to be less oily. When you wash your hair too often, it strips down the oils and triggers your scalp to product more oil causing it to look greasier faster. Try washing it 3-4 times a week and you’ll notice after a few weeks to a month that your hair will adjust and product less oil than usual.
4. Use Dry Shampoo
Use dry shampoo to control greasy hair. To avoid washing your hair too often try using dry shampoo between washes. The dry shampoo will absorb oils, volumize your hair and have it look and smell fresh.
5. Don’t Apply Hair Conditioner on Your Scalp
Applying hair conditioner to your roots and scalp will weigh your hair down and makes your roots look oily. Next time, try only applying the conditioner to the mid-bottom areas of your hair and not the top towards your scalp.
6. Get the Right Products
Try to avoid using heavy products such a gels and hair products such as serums that give your hair some shine. These products might make your hair look perfect the first few hours of wear but after that it will quickly make your hair look greasy.
7. Use Purifying Shampoo
Try using purifying shampoo once a week or at least a couple times a month. This will help remove excess oil build up in your hair and scalp and you’ll find that your hair won’t look greasy so quickly.
8. Don’t Over Brush
Over brushing you hair can stimulate oil production and make your hair look greasy quickly. You should still brush though, just do it less often since it helps distribute natural oils or else they just build up on the scalp.
These are the most helpful tips that made a big different for me! Let me know if you have any tricks of your own or if you tried these tips and they worked for you 🙂
When I worked from home I wore a mask only to take my dog on walks and to go to the grocery store so my skin was blemish free and thriving! I’m finally back in the office meaning that I’m wearing a mask for over 9 hours which has caused my skin to break out aka “maskne”! I did some digging and tried a few different products that I have at home and here’s what’s been helping prevent and treat my maskne:
1. Use a Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser
I currently use CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser with Benzoyl Peroxide and it does the trick and it’s only $14.19 at Target. This cleanser is perfect for acne prone skin since it has Benzoyl Peroxide in it. It clears your skin and helps prevent new blemishes from coming. It has Niacinamide which helps calm your skin and helps keep you feeling comfortable. We all know masks aren’t the most comfortable so this can help reduce skin irritation.
2. Switch Out Your Masks and Wash Them
This might be a no brainer for some but make sure you’re washing your masks everyday if they’re the reusable kind! If they’re the disposable kind, research how long they’re good for and make sure you store them in a clean place! You’d be surprised at how unsanitary some people are, I’ve seen people set their masks down in the dirtiest of places- yikes!
3. Spot Treat the Areas
Make sure your skin can handle spot treatment, a lot of people are experiencing rashes rather than acne so spot treatments can irritate your skin even more! Mario Badescu’s spot treatment is one of my favorites. It has Salicylic Acid which exfoliates your skin and helps shed pore-clogging dead skin cells, Sulfur which purifies pores and absorbs excess oil and Calamine which delivers a cooling, soothing effect. This is perfect for Maskne because wearing a mask clogs your pores and this will really help, I’ve already noticed a major difference after using this! You can find is at Sephora for $17.
4. Avoid Makeup and Heavy Lotions
If you can, try to avoid wearing makeup and heavy creams, lotions and sunscreens under your mask. These can irritate your skin and cause breakouts. It’s already hard enough for your skin to breathe with a mask on, putting on these products then the mask on top easily clogs pores and suffocates your skin.
5. Utilize Acne Patches!
I looove acne patches so much! I usually apply them at night and wake up with flat blemishes since the patches take out all the yuckies. If you feel a blemish coming or if you already have a few blemished just apply a some patches to the problem areas and boom watch the magic happen! Sometimes I even put the patches on before work, put my mask on and head to work. The patches protect my skin from the mask and help heal my blemishes and no one will notice the patches since they’re hidden under your mask. Truly Beauty has some amazing acne patches, I’ve tried a ton of different patches and theirs are my favorite! I love their “Heart Your Imperfections Blemish Treatment Acne Patches”, get them for only $10 on Truly’s website.
5. Try Different Material Masks
When this outbreak first started, it was nearly impossible to find a mask, now you can find them literally EVERYWHERE! Try playing around with different material masks to see what your skin likes most. Be sure to do your research too and find a mask that protects you and others, our health is more important than preventing acne. I found that for me, cotton masks work best!
That’s all for today! Got any tips of your own? Share ’em below! 🙂
Wow, what a crazy year this has been! I hope you and your families are all staying safe and hanging in there. Many of us have lost our jobs due to COVID-19 and some were lucky enough to continue to work and had the option to work remotely. I’ve personally had the opportunity to work from home, not going to lie it was pretty nice while it lasted. I got to work in comfy clothes all day, snuggle under the covers with my doggo and conveniently sip on my favorite drinks! I worked from home for 3 months and I finally went back to the office last week! This isn’t the first time I’ve worked remotely, I’ve worked remotely at my previous careers too so here are some goodies I’ve learned bring into the office to make me feel more refreshed, and lookin and feeling my best when I’m not working from home! These products make me work more comfortably and efficiently at work, are the perfect mood boosters and are just cute which also make me happy! So let’s get to it! 🙂
Alfred Tea X Klean Kanteen Insulated Travel Mug, $35
I’m very passionate about my coffee and tea which is why I love this mug. I’ve had insulated travel mugs from Starbucks in the past and sure they’re cute but they don’t do a great job at keeping my drinks cold/hot all day. This travel mug keeps my drinks cold/hot literally ALL day, I love it. Travel mugs can be tricky because the lids get gross and there’s a build up of coffee overtime that not even the dishwasher can clean out which is why I love this mug.. you can take the whole cap apart so you can clean all the hide areas of it so no gross built up! I got this from Alfred Tea in Melrose last year and they sadly don’t have this design available anymore but you can find similar products on Klean Kantean’s website.
I’ve actually talked about this product last week, if you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, check it out here. I love this baby so much for making smoothies, shakes and other blends on the go! It’s rechargeable and the charge lasts a while! I keep the charger at my desk, plug it in for a few minutes and it’s good to go! The blender noise is also pretty quite so it’s not obnoxious- my coworkers get mind-blown every time and always ask me where I got it! I got mind from Urban Outfitters but you can buy it from BlendJet’s website too.
Rose Quartz Wellness Bottle with Tea and Fruit Infuser, $41.99
I love this bottle so much! Not only is it super cute but it comes with a detachable infuser/strainer so you can make loose leaf tea and fruit infused water. I like to add cucumber and lemon, it helps keep me refreshed and hydrated all day and also encourages me to drink more water since it tastes so good. You can use the bottle for any drink though, hot or cold! The bottom of the bottle also has a detachable base so if you’re not much of a crystal person you can add snacks or supplements in there as well. I personally love crystals! Rose quartz is the stone of universal love, and it’s said to have a bunch of healing properties as well. You can get this bottle from Amazon, it’s Prime so you’ll get it fast and it has great reviews too.
SEPHORA COLLECTION Crystal Serum Roller, $6
I love this roller soo much, like I mentioned before I love rose quarts so I love this unique rose quarts roller. It’s perfect for serums, perfumes and essential oils! I add a mix of Lemon, Orange and Peppermint essential oils to the roller- it smells really refreshing and it helps me focus and stay awake throughout the day. I also make a blend of Peppermint and Lavender that helps with headaches and muscle-aches since I always get those while in the office! My roller is rose gold (It might have been an older version but you can get the silver version as pictured from Sephora/JCPenney on sale for only $6.
If you don’t already have a facial roller, you seriously need to get one! It helps with firmness, circulation puffy eyes, dark circles and improves the overall appearance of your skin. I was skeptical at first but after reading the reviews I thought I’d give it a shot especially since a ton of people mentioned that it helps relieve headaches too. Like I mentioned before, I always get headaches in the office and this actually helps! My posture is so bad that I get really bad neck and shoulder aches too and this product helps with that too. Kinda funny bringing it in the office but my coworkers love it too and always ask to borrow it LOL. The small head is perfect for using on your temples to relieve headaches and the larger one is perfect for neck and shoulder aches. You can buy this roller on Amazon, it’s Prime too!
Portable Facial Nano Mist Sprayer, $12.99
This little mist sprayer is another fun product, all you do is add some water and spray your face and it helps moisturize and refresh your skin! It also has a power back function and skin detection function which can measure the oil and moisture on your skin and displays it on the LCD screen- Not sure how accurate it is but it’s definitely a great reminder to drink water and keep your skin hydrated. It produces a fine cool mist in seconds, it’s so fine that it doesn’t ruin your makeup. It’s super refreshing, I love that it has the capabilities to cool the water because this helps with fatigue and wakes up you! I don’t think you’re supposed to add essential oils to it but I do anyways for more benefits and so far it’s still working fine! You can also buy this product from Amazon, it’s Prime like the rest!
LED Travel Compact Magnifying Mirror, Rose Gold, $24.99
I’m obsessed with this mirror! The lighting in my office isn’t the best and I work for a cosmetics company and have to do Instagram Lives twice a week so this mirror comes in handy quite a bit. It’s perfect for applying and touching up my makeup before and during the Lives. I also love this mirror for traveling, you never know if your hotel or Airbnb will have good lighting or mirrors. You can buy this mirror on Amazon and it’s of course Prime like the rest of them.
That’s all for today folks! Hi hope you found this helpful! I tried to feature more innovative and unique products that you don’t think to bring in the office but would definitely help you feel your best. Got any hidden gems of your own? Share them below! 🙂
Let’s be real, summer is the best but the heat is just too much sometimes! There’s nothing worst than spending time on your makeup to later watch it melt off your face and smudge everywhere. On days that I know I’ll be out in the sun all day I love to keep the makeup to a minimal. I usually just apply on some foundation, bronzer, mascara, brow product and and it good. With that being said, here are the products I can’t live without during a hot summer’s day!
I’ve talked about this foundation before, it’s my favorite! This foundation seriously lasts alllll day! This foundation is hardcore, it has amazing coverage and offers 24-hour wear and trust me, it really does last 24- hours. It’s also waterproof and heat-resistant, sweat & humidity- resistant, and transfer-resistent, take my word for it.. Personally tested it in Vegas, Disneyland and traveling the world and it passed the test! (I wear the shade “Dawn”)
Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer, $30
This bronzer stays in place all day long and is super pigmented. With that being said, a little goes a long way and it’ll last you a long time so you definitely get your moneys worth. Using a fluffy brush is key and make sure to tap off the extra product from your brush so you don’t apply too much product on then blend, blend, blend to make sure the bronzer doesn’t look patchy or too harsh. (I use the shade “Park Ave Princess”)
I’ve been using this mascara for YEARS, it was one of the first mascaras I’ve ever used and it’s still one of my all time favorites. It makes your lashes look super long and it never looks flakey. I really like the unique silicone/plastic wants too, it feel like it really helps evenly apply the mascara and creates a seamless look every time. It’s waterproof and smudge-proof and lasts all day even during the hottest of days! It also love how inexpensive it is, good quality with a good price is the best! (I wear the shade “Very Black”)
I love this brow duo by Glossier! They’re not super pigmented which I love so your brows don’t look tattooed on and look more natural. I sometimes wear just the Boy Brow grooming pomade when I’m in a hurry or when I want a super natural look. When I want a full brow look, I use both products! The Brow Flick pen is really unique and there’s not too much in the market right now. I like to draw on a few brow hairs for a more feathered look and sometimes even like to add on a few faux freckles. The pen is smudge-proof and lasts all day without fading or smudging even during hot, humid days. (I use the shade “Brown”)
I’m the worstttt at apply sunscreen which is why I love this product! I discovered this amazing product from on of my FabFitFun boxes and fell in love. It’s super light weight, makes my makeup last longer, smells yummy, and is infused with soothing aloe vera and cooling cucumber. It has a matte-finish and also helps hydrate your skin. It’s also infused with Hyaluronic Acid and it’s water resistant!
Anyone else love smoothies and protein shakes? If so, you need to get the BlendJet! It a cute little portable blender so you can make your favorite drinks on the go. I love to “meal prep” my smoothies by adding frozen fruits and veggies in ziploc bags and taking them to work. Then all I do is take the ziplocs to work and make my smoothies with my BlendJet whenever I get hungry. I’d make the smoothies before work but I don’t get hungry at 7 am and usually eat at around 11 am ish! My work has a community blender that the whole office shares but it’s always dirty and gets used a lot so I personally have no desire to use it and question how sanitary it is which is why I love to bring my BlendJet to work. If you’re a slow drinker like me, you’ll love the BlendJet because when your smoothie starts to separate , you can just put the lid back on and re-mix everything.
I usually make something like the above for breakfast! Half a bar of frozen açaí, strawberries, a splash of vanilla almond milk, vanilla whey protein, and Beauty Collagen! What is Beauty Collagen you ask?! It’s a yummy powder by Vital Proteins that will help give you a youthful glow, hydrates your skin, improves skin elasticity and does soo much! Check out all the benefits here! When I go shopping I make it a goal to find at least one thing new to try, it’s just fun discovering new hidden gems! I actually stumbled upon this product years ago at a CVS, the packaging of the Beauty Collagen in Strawberry Lemon caught my eye and I’ve been hooked since. Super quick, easy, yummy and healthy!
I love to use the BlendJet for simple protein shakes, amino blends and other supplement powders such as Beauty Collagen. Blender bottles don’t get all the whey/supplement chunks out for me but the BlendJet does an amazing job blending it so the consistency of your drink will be smooth and yummy baby! The BlendJet is also really easy to clean, you just add some water and soap and turn it on to have it rinse everything and boom- it’s clean! It comes with a USB charger and holds its charge for a few days. I got mine from Urban Outfitters but you can also buy directly from BlendJet too. Both sites are currently selling it for $40 but look out for sales too, I got mine for $30. If you’re super limited on time, you can even buy JetPack ready-to-blend packs on their website, the mango matcha and tropical blue ones looks so good! Got any meal prep tricks you’d like to share? Any yummy smoothie recipes? Share them below! 🙂
